We Have A New Name!

We are now the Sunshine Children's Center. Why? The main reason is simply because our services have expanded. We now provide respite care, after school care, and an expanded therapy program. There are other programs that are either in the works or that we have an interest.

Our main goal is to provide as much support for the children as we can. At the same time, we want to educate the public about the problems that exist and the services we can provide.

We've hosted a women's group from Jefferson Street Methodist, and staff members of Natchez Community Hospital recently. Our Director has presented programs to the Rotary Club and the Civitan Club. She's also met with representatives from the National Association on Mental Illness about starting a support group for depressed teens.

All this and more we do because the children need it. If you know of a need in the community, would like to get involved, give us a call.

Natchez Market donated an unbelievable amount of frozen food, so much that we were able to share with others!

J.E. Hicks also donated multiple food items.

We also received school supplies, toys, clothes, bedding, and other non-monetary contributions from a number of individuals, some of whom wished to keep their donations private. We will, of course, keep their wishes, and we express our great appreciation. Thank you!

Our kids need positive adult role models.  Be a mentor!  Volunteer!  Invite a child to church, or to be part of your youth group!
